True scale of London hospital cyberattack revealed

800 planned operations and 700 outpatient appointments were rearranged following the incident

The NHS has released new data which shows the impact of a cyberattack on pathology services provider Synnovis that significantly disrupted operations in London hospitals.

The ransomware attack, reportedly engineered by the Russian Qilin group compromised Synnovis's IT systems, leading to cancelled medical procedures and ambulance diversions in five major London hospitals.
