Co-Founder and Editor | Ed Targett

Ed Targett founded the Stack in late 2020. He has 15+ years of experience running and working in newsrooms. Immediately prior to founding The Stack he worked as editor of the New Statesman group’s Computer Business Review, which he led to robust growth and record commercial performance, helping oversee editorial strategy prior to its relaunch as Tech Monitor.

Ed has also worked as an editor at macroeconomic research house Roubini Global Economics, spent several years covering energy markets, where he developed a keen interest in the challenges of delivering secure, digital transformation across complex legacy infrastructure, and for a boutique ESG diligence advisory firm, where field work took him to sustainability projects globally.

When not working, he indulges his vice of taking motorbikes apart and sometimes failing to put them back together properly; an interest not causally tied to his sustainability interests.
