Honeywell exec shares GenAI plans and early developer productivity impacts

The industrial giant Honeywell is already seeing quantifiable benefits from deploying GenAI in its coding operations, a senior exec has revealed.

Speaking during a panel discussion on "Digitization of the Aerospace Industry" at the Farnborough International Airshow this week, Jeff Hopkins, VP projects solutions at Honeywell, said the company's 4000-strong development group had experienced significant improvements to its performance since deploying the models.
