Special event by The Stack: Creating a culture of innovation

CIO event sponsored by DataStax

At a special event from The Stack on March 24, leading Chief Information Officers Nigel Watson and Yanna Winter and Chief Executive Officer Chet Kapoor will lead a panel on creating a culture of innovation, drawing on their own extensive, award-winning experience and featuring pragmatic examples and hard-won lessons.

The ability to innovate has never been more important: for digital leaders and the teams around them.

Innovation can support flexibility and fresh ideas when responding to changing circumstances and stakeholder demands; bravery in tackling entrenched issues; creativity in attracting and retaining skilled staff in a hugely competitive market for talent; an open mind about rethinking ways of delivering goods and services and ambition in letting data inform business decisions in a world moving sometimes uncomfortably swiftly and non-linearly.

Our panellists know a thing or two about innovation. Northumbrian Water Group CIO Nigel Watson founded an annual innovation festival run by the large water utility that has generated ground-breaking applications to tackle emissions, improve customer experience and facilitate data sharing agreements with other partners.

Generali CIO Yanna Winter has led a sweeping integration and infrastructure transformation project that let the insurance group innovate with data and rethink its operational architecture and culture.

DataStax and CEO, Chet Kapoor, meanwhile has helped hundreds of the world's leading enterprises unleash the power of real-time data to create the in-the-moment digital experiences that can win new markets and change industries, working with customers including Capital One, Burberry, FedEx among many others.

The Stack’s intimate fireside event for CIOs and CTOs – sponsored by DataStax – will be followed by dinner, drinks and discussion at our exclusive central London venue until late, with no more than 25 C-suite attendees.

The Stack has single-digit seats left at this event. If you are a senior digital leader involved in a transformation project at your organisation and interested in attending, please email our founder Ed Targett to discuss.
